Landmark century but captain Sinton happy to share spotlight
The 220-run derby victory cemented Laurelvale a position at the head of the Section Two standings with a perfect record following three consecutive wins.
Sinton’s innings of 112 not out established a personal landmark in a first-team career for the village club which dates back beyond the decade mark.

Khan finished on 109 not out and Ajmal collected a five-wicket haul as the former Victoria players enjoyed dream starts to life with Laurelvale.
“It was a nice moment but the only statistic that really matters is the final score,” said Sinton. “It was great to get another win and confidence remains high across the group.
“The two lads came in and really proved superb and, under the circumstances, I was more than happy to take a step back.

“That worked well across the board, with Philip Weir and Daryl henry also excellent.
“Philip has been enjoying consistent form across the past few seasons and Daryl has managed to maintain his scoring rate from a position lower down the batting order.
“I put on an opening 99-run partnership alongside Philip so everything is working well at the minute.
“We visit Holywood this weekend in what should prove a tough test.”
