McTaggart comes out on top at Faughan Valley
On Sunday in the clubs popular Iron Competition and in fantastic weather the winner was Andrew Craig (10) with 38 points, who won a set of irons to the value of over £300 for his efforts.
The Ladies golf strokeplay competition was won Evelyn Smith (27) 75 nett, second was Celine McIvor (33) 81 nett and Catherine O’Neil (25) with 82 nett was third.

Hide AdWhile Past Secretary Tony McCann (14) won the first outing of the City of Derry 2015/16 Sunday Society on break-of-tie over second place man Brian Mulgrew (22), both having 39 points.
Fred Young (9) was best of a four man break-of-tie on 38 points.
On Saturday, Paul McIntosh’s five birdies helped give his team the Chambers Concrete Open Team classic first prize at Prehen, with a total of 97 points. The winning team was Paul McIntosh (12), Cecil Thompson (14), Richard Burton (15) and Michael McShane (24).
Second place went to Christie Donaghey (13), Edward Mitchel (14), Ken McClintock (23) and Ronald Henderson (24) on 96 points. Third place was awarded on break-of-tie to the team of Ernie Heywood (2), Stuart McClelland (7), Campbell Jackson (14) and Jonathan Heywood (18).

Hide AdThe ladies prize was won by Cheryl Chambers (16), Doreen Fleming (16), Bernadette North (25) and Christine Mitchel (27) with a total of 89 points.
Past President Brian Mulgrew (23) took the honours in the first Thursday Society golf competition of the season, at Prehen.
with 40 points, Seamus Given (18) was second on 39 points and third place was awarded to Alastair Crockett (12) on 38 points
While at Foyle the Paul Cassidy School of Motoring Open Stableford played on Saturday last was well supported with a two way 37 points break of tie deciding the winner in favour of the sponsors name sake Cormac Cassidy.

Hide AdCaolan Dunn finishing second Kevin Crumley returned to the prize winners rostrum in third after another two way 35 point break of tie.
Cormac McGeady with 32 points won the gross prize, Damien Ball (16) won the back nine after a BOT finish scoring 19 points
The Friday Open was claimed by Strabane’s Foncey Conwell (19) after he scored 45 points and David Wilson (10) with 38 point was second after a BOT finish.
The Sunday Club Stableford competition was claimed by Shane McClean (2) after he scored 41 points and Michael Henry (19) with 37 points claimed second spot.

Hide AdClub Competitions at Foyle starts today with the Crumley Construction Monthly Medal, tomorrow sees the Over 50’s final taking place, Friday is the Desmond Motors Open Stableford final. Saturday sees the Open Stableford competition, which is sponsored by Rankin Machine Tool Services, being played for and Sunday the Senior and Junior Scratch Cup will take centre stage.
