Cairndhu book spot in Ulster Cup semi-final

Hide AdBut points then proved hard to come and with all the matches going to at least the 16th hole, the scene was set for a very close finish.
However, a win for Brain Haveron 3 and 2 and halfs for Paul Hunter and Norman Johnston meant the team were through on holes, but Richard Todd won his match 2 and 1 to secure an 8 - 6 win and a place in the semi-finals when they will face Ballyclare Golf Club. Dates and tee times to be agreed.
Meanwhile, Tony Watts (42 points) won the top prize of a P&O Irish Sea crossing at Larne Youth’s recent Golf Open Day, held at Cairndhu.
