Moneyslane U10s..............5

St. Mary’s Cleary................1

THE U10s started off brightly with Steven Moorhead finishing off a well taken goal to open the scoring. This set ‘Slane off to go on the goal rampage and from a Davis corner, Moorhead nodded in his second.

Jordan Davis then got on the score sheet with a brace and again some good finishing just before the break. Keeping up the pressure, Ethan Banks pushed forward and tried his luck from a distance, but just went wide.

Joshua Crawford and Max Wilson combined well in midfield with Crawford battling through the defence and hit in number five for Moneyslane.

Just before the end ‘Slane eased off and with Ewan Ritchie finding his arm as he tried to clear, ended up with a contentious penalty. Mark Jardine saved well, but bounced unluckily back to the forward for him to squeeze into the corner.

Best for ‘Slane was Steven Moorhead.

Camlough Rovers...............3

Moneyslane U10s...............1

After a confident first game, ‘Slane knew their second against the league leaders would be a tougher assignment.

As predicted, Rovers opened their account with a well taken goal giving Jardine no chance.
