Ballymena Academy’s bid for Danske Bank Subsidiary Shield honours ended in gallant failure on Wednesday.

The Galgorm Road boys were beaten 12-3 by Dalriada School in the final at Shaw’s Bridge.

Out-half Andrew Magrath kicked John Andrews’ side’s only points from a penalty.
