Newtownabbey road closed for emergency resurfacing works

The road closure, which commenced yesterday (Monday), is operating from Mossley Road to Ballyclare Road.
A Department for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson said: “The closure is required daily (Monday-Saturday) for emergency carriageway resurfacing.

Hide Ad“An alternative route is Doagh Road, Ballynure Road A8, Ballyclare Road (vice versa).”
The work is being carried out by a DfI Roads contractor.
Road users are advised to expect an estimated delay of up to five minutes.
The work is set to be completed by 6.30pm on Saturday, May 8.
Meanwhile, motorists are advised that a section of the Jordanstown Road is closed for works.

Hide AdThe lane closure, which commenced today (Tuesday), is operating from the junction of Mount Pleasant Road to the junction of Monkstown Road.
A DfI spokesperson explained: “The closure is required off-peak only for hole to access suitability of proposed 5G telecoms mast.
“Four-way traffic signals will be in operation.”
The work is being conducted by a DfI Roads contractor.
Estimated delays of up to five minutes are to be expected.
The work is due to be finished by 4.30pm on Wednesday, May 5.
