Take a new look at seats in Diamond
Symbols representing the history of people of the area and the industries they were involved in as well as demonstrating the skills of the local craftsmen of the area from centuries ago have been produced and incorporated into the seats just outside the Diamond bar.
An historic market town, the surrounding area is also rich in agricultural land and the museum has numerous examples of instruments crafted years ago. All these aspects have been represented in the symbols which Mayor Bill Kennedy, praised and said would prove a talking point. “The seats are a popular spot where people congregate to watch town life and to ‘chew the fat’. This will provide an added attraction to a town where facilities and the general look has improved greatly of late,” he said. The symbols were created by local sculpture, Susan F Hunter.
