Metallitia to headline Diamond Rock Club 'Weekender'
Starting this weekend on Friday night and first band on a triple bill, is Ballymena Band, GBA who are big favourites on the local scene and to date have released one EP entitled ‘Under the Badness’.
Next up and firm Diamond favourites are Trucker Diablo, who have just released their debut album ‘The Devil Rhythm’ which features a very special appearance by Ricky Warwick, ex-frontman with The Almighty and currently plying his trade as the new lead vocalist with Thin Lizzy.

Hide AdFinishing Friday night, is top local band Sinocence, who in recent years have toured alongside W.A.S.P, Machine Head, Therapy?, In Flames, Lacuna Coil, Blaze Bayley, Paul Dianno and most recently Soulfly.
Things are really starting to move for Sinocence. They have just formed their own record label ‘Metal Box Records’ and are about to re-release their second album ‘Scar Obscura’.
On top of this, the band have just recruited a new drummer, ex-Blaze Bayley (Iron Maiden) man- Lawrence Paterson.
The Diamond is actually Lawrence’s first gig with the band, before they embark on a full UK tour.

Opening things up on Saturday night are Triggerman who have a massive local following. The band have just released their second album ‘Brand New Day’ and recently headlined ‘The Spurs of Rock’ stage at the prestigious Glasgowbury Festival.
Metallitia then finish Saturday night and the whole weekend.
Metallitia’s last two visits to the Diamond (April 2008 and October 2008) were completely packed, with the first of the two gigs being a complete sell out.
