McConnell’s event raises £2k for Marie Curie
“The support from across the community was fantastic and we were overwhelmed by the generosity of people on the night who supported us and also those who donated prizes for the raffle,” said Leslie.
“We would also thank those folk who were unable to attend, but made a contribution toward the fundraising. And as for the staff of McConnells, they were brilliant and many thanks must go to John (McConnell) and his team for ensuring we were all looked after so well throughout the night, and also to the band, ‘Behind Closed Doors’ for a great night’s entertainment. Roberta and I are delighted that £2,145 was raised towards the work of Marie Curie Cancer Care.”

This money will go a long way in supporting the care and families of those suffering from cancer across the country. The atmosphere at McConnell’s was really enjoyable on the night and we were delighted to support Leslie and Roberta with this fundraising event.”
