Glenarm recognised as World Host Village
This is awarded to villages where 25% of tourism related businesses have had 50% of their staff avail of World Host training.
Trustees of Glenarm Buildings Preservation Trust were pleased to welcome Enterprise Minister Jonathan Bell on Tuesday, as he recognised the achievement.

Hide AdThe charter mark in hospitality training and customer servicing has been developed by Tourism NI and People First, to raise professional standards and ensure visitors to Northern Ireland have a warm welcome and memorable experience.
Glenarm Buildings Preservation Trust and all Trainees offered thanks to Ulster Bank for their generous grant under the Community Impact Fund.
A spokesperson for the Trust said: “This ensured that Training appropriate to the needs of different groups and interests could be delivered at a pace which suited everyone.
“The impact on community has been very positive as all trainees completed the courses, gained confidence and developed a team spirit which will ensure that visitors are well looked after in Glenarm.
“Recognition of Glenarm as a World Host Village should prove a big attraction in visitors choosing to come to Glenarm and the greater Mid & East Antrim Council areas.”
