Community Centre base for morning calls
The Good Morning programme provides a “good morning” daily phone call for people living on their own.
Good Morning telephone the resident three times and would then alert the next of kin. If they are not available Mourneview’s Community Centre Manager will then go to the address and if needed contact the emergency services.

Hide AdThe added bonus of getting Mourneview Community Centre involved is that they can provide a gateway to reach isolated and vulnerable people who are not accessing services and activities.
“People who live on their own feel supported and safer when they know there’s going to be a telephone call the next morning,” said Community Centre Manager Lynda Mark.
“It’s also a great relief to their families and if they cannot get there quickly the next morning they have the added reassurance that we will be there," she added.
The Good Morning programme is a free community based telephone service for older and vulnerable people enabling them and people in need of support, to remain in their own homes and continue to function in their communities.

Hide AdStaff are fully trained, Access NI checked and all information pertaining to users is private and confidential.
The program is a joint venture between Good Morning NI, PLACE Initiative, Mourneview Community Centre and Craigavon Borough Council's Development Department.
