Cara makes history
The club's council created the position to recognise the continuing growth of girls' golf at Lurgan.
The 15-year-old first teed-off at the age of 12 and plays off a 19 handicap, she said: "It's great to have been appointed, it was a shock at first, but I am delighted to have been selected.
"I can't wait for the new season to get underway."

Hide AdCara became the first girl to win the Lady President's juvenile girls last year and the Order of Merit in the ladies section.
The St Michael's student continued: "My dad has always been great with helping me and I love to get out on the course and play a few holes.
"I would love to go on and play professional."
Cara follows in a family tradition, her father, Damian and grandfather Terry were past captains at the club.
"This is a tremendous honour for Cara," said her father, "I feel so proud she is following in family footsteps."

Hide AdJuvenile convenor at the club, Fiona Cummins said: "Cara is an excellent role model for all the junior girls, a pleasure to play golf with and a credit to her parents, Pat and Damian.
"I have no doubt that she will continue to go from strength-to-strength and encourage all the other girls to progress as well."
