Big hair day for local salons
The main aim is to identify the top stylists for the All Ireland Ladies and Gents titles, but some salons will be using the event as their prep before International competitions, while talent scouts and judges will be on the look out for World Championship competitors for the next Northern Ireland team.
The event is one of the largest for both ladies and gents hairdressers, and also gives spectators an opportunity to see some of the top talent at work under pressure in 11 different categories.

Hide AdNorth West Regional College will be competing again this year, and will be all out to defend their Fantasy title wins. Last year they took all three top places.
In the Gents categories Suede from the city will also be looking for success.
To reflect the changing styles through the years, the categories have altered slightly but will also include popular day style and evening style competitions and include the unbelievable fantasy category which really has to be seen to be believed.
The challenge to create winning styles in a limited time period of around 30 to 40 minutes creates a really competitive environment especially when attention to detail and the overall look is also important.
