A 21-year-old man who admitted charges of disorderly behaviour and possession of an offensive weapon was in breach of a suspended sentence, Banbridge Magistrates Court heard last Thursday.

Sentencing in the case against Christopher David Walker, Banbridge Road, Waringstown, was adjourned until December 17 for a pre-sentence report.

The court heard he was seen in Newry Street, Banbridge. He squared up to another man as if to head-butt him and also shouted offensive remarks.

A barrister representing Walker said he was in breach of a suspended sentence.

Ordering a pre-sentence report District Judge, Mr Paul Copeland, released Walker on his own bail of £500. He also prohibited him from being inside the 30mph limit in Banbridge and imposed a curfew from 10pm to 7am.

The judge also banned Walker from entering licensed premises, including off licences.
