Charity Rocks

AS ALWAYS charity and music go hand in hand as voiced by this week's performers who'll line the Cellar Bar stage in Draperstown in aid of Mencap.
Poets Pocket Symphony, Xtrovert and Blackball Fighter, all cut from similar cloth, take part in the good cause.
PPS liken themselves to the grunge meets electro genre with influences as far reaching as Tori Amos to local lads gone good Fighting With Wire and MojoFURY.
Shauna and Grace have played in various formats together and are joined by Kyle Barnes who concludes the rock trio.
The punk rock trio of Xtrovert (also including drummer Grace) and Blackball Fighter round off the night's billing.
Blackball Fighter describe themselves as: "Indie funk rock, mixing synth atmospheres and effects with Led Zeppelin style riffs and intelligent chemical beats. Anthemic vocals weave through the atmospheric and driving soundscapes creating a unique, never before heard, nu-indie sound." Now that's how to sell it.
Mencap benefits, Saturday 5 July, Cellar Bar in Draperstown.
